Freddie Mercury

Freddie Mercury was the vocalist of one of the most famous bands of rock in history, Queen. He was known for his flamboyant stage persona and powerful vocals over a four-octave range. He was a really good singer but he was excellent songwriter, he wrote 10 of 17 greatest hits of the band, you can see it listening his greatest hits, Bohemian Rhapsody, Don't stop me now,  and one of the most known songs, We Are The Champions. But later, he led a solo career with hits like Living On My Own. Adding that he had some sexual preferences, people accepted his believes. In 2008, Rolling Stone editors ranked him number 18 on their list of the 100 greatest singers of all time. In 2009, a Classic Rock poll saw him voted the greatest rock singer of all time. Allmusic has characterised Mercury as "one of rock's greatest all-time entertainers", who possessed "one of the greatest voices in all of music", also he said that he think his melodies are superior to his lyrics.
Queen discovered Freddie Mecury when he was singing and cleaning windows on a skyscraper.  
Mercury was diagnosed with AIDS shortly after Easter of 1987.  Mercury died on the evening of 24 November 1991 at the age of 45, at his home in Kensington. The official cause of death was bronchial pneumonia resulting from AIDS.
He is not just a Rock Star, he is Legend.
When he died he was made a tribute concert with celebrities like Slash, Axl Rose, Elton John, David Bowie.
